The Location 

This city is located halfway between Brisbane and Sydney approximately 50 km from the coast. The city is a substantial and gracious rural city characterised by wide streets, elegant Victorian buildings, a superb location on the banks of the Clarence River, a sense of solidity and permanence, and a long-standing reputation for civic beauty which is obvious from the 24 parks which adorn the city.

The Facility

The facility is a level 3/4 base hospital within the Northern New South Wales Local Health District, providing care to over 12,500 patients every year. The hospital undertakes over 3,300 surgical procedures and sees over 24,700 Emergency attendances annually and provides a wide range of accessible healthcare services to the public.

Hospital services include;

·         Alcohol and drug unit

·         Emergency department

·         Intensive care unit

·         Maintenance renal dialysis unit

·         Obstetric service

·         Oncology unit

·         Paediatric service

The Role
Advanced Trainees are welcome to apply, likewise 2021 Fellows are welcome to apply and there is the potential to complete the final 6 months of Fellowship training with a follow-on role to become a consultant.
